Elizabeth started her career in the insurance industry in 1992, working part time at a local independent agency while attending college. She soon learned that she had a “knack” for understanding policy language and enjoyed the challenges the industry presented. This began her desire to learn as much as she could about the different aspects/components of insurance.
She first began working towards the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation, which she earned in 2000 and continued her education to earn the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2007.
Elizabeth has since become an “insurance teacher”, training co-workers on the products available and how to communicate the coverage provided by those products to clients; “As crazy as it sounds, insurance has become a passion for me along with the everyday challenge of helping our clients understand their insurance program. The only way to do that is with an experienced and knowledgeable staff with the ability to listen and hear what the client is saying”, says Elizabeth.
Since Elizabeth has joined The House of Insurance in 2007, she has been awarded “Wisconsin CSR of the Year” by West Bend Mutual Insurance in 2010 and “Quality CSR of the Year” by Erie Insurance in 2013. She has also been invited to sit on the personal lines advisory boards of both West Bend Mutual and Erie Insurance.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff and their 5 kids.
